Picture

A moment of memory
That passed through my mind
Before winter’s beginning
There was your hand in mine
And in that sweet moment
I fell in love again
How I wish I could hold it
Once more at the end

But you’re just like a picture
That I can’t even touch
Never could have figured
That it would all mean so much
And I could live to love you
Just put it all aside
That moment’s enough to
Have it frozen in time

And just like a snowflake
It all melts away
At the touch of my tongue
And how sweet was the taste
I can see it right now
If I just close my eyes
There are tears falling down
Thought I forgot how to cry

But you’re just like a picture
That I can’t even touch
Never could have figured
That it would all mean so much
And I could live to love you
Just put it all aside
That moment’s enough to
Have it frozen in time

And I miss you
I love you
Though I see you every day
Haven’t kissed you
Enough to
Make the tears go away
And I want you
I need you
To be more than displayed
Like a photo
To be seen through
The glass of a frame

But you’re just like a picture
That I can’t even touch
Never could have figured
That it would all mean so much
And I could live to love you
Just put it all aside
That moment’s enough to
Have it frozen in time
Are you more than a picture of mine?
